Srinagar, April 16 -- A family of four had a narrow escape on Wednesday after their shikara overturned here in Kashmir's Dal Lake due to strong gusty winds, officials said

A family of tourists were onboard when the boat capsised due to the gusty winds. Fortunately, rescue teams acted swiftly, managing to pull everyone out safely.

"All the four individuals were rescued," an official said

In a separate incident, around the same time, the Quick Response Team (QRT) of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) stationed at Nehru Park rescued a group of students who had been stranded in the middle of Dal Lake due to the strong gusty winds.
