Hazaribag, March 27 -- Hazaribag MP Manish Jaiswal on Friday welcomed the Centre's decision to reduce customs duty on petroleum products, saying the move would help shield consumers from global crude price volatility.
Addressing a press conference here, Jaiswal said the decision would help contain a possible rise in petrol and diesel prices and provide relief to the public.
He said several countries were facing pressure from rising crude oil prices amid global instability, but the Centre had taken a consumer-oriented step to ease the burden on citizens.
