Itanagar, Jan. 12 -- The Arunachal Pradesh capital on Monday got its first woman Mayor with BJP corporator from Ward No. 16, Likha Nari Tadar, being sworn in as the Mayor of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC). Along with her, Tok Tabin Camdir (Ward No. 19) was administered the oath of office as the Deputy Mayor.
The swearing-in ceremony was held during the first meeting of the newly-elected members of the IMC in Itanagar. Urban Affairs Minister Balo Raja and Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso attended the event, along with corporators, senior officials, and well-wishers.
