Shimla, Feb. 18 -- Members from the tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday raised concerns over snow- and rain-affected roads in Lahaul and Spiti district and disrupted power supply in the Pangi area of Chamba district during Zero Hour in the Assembly.
Bharmour MLA Dr. Janak Raj drew the attention of the House to the prolonged electricity disruptions in Pangi Valley.
He said that work to lay power lines had been initiated, but two government departments were spending funds on the same project, which has now been left incomplete. Alleging negligence, he sought action against the officials responsible.
Congress MLA from Lahaul-Spiti Anuradha Rana also highlighted the recurring problem of road connectivity in her constituency.
