Jerusalem, June 4 -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a special assessment of the situation in the Gaza Strip, during which various scenarios of pressure exerted on the residents of the enclave by Palestinian movement Hamas were considered, in particular, the possibility of incitement to storm the border with Israel, Israeli media reported.
Hamas allegedly exerts strong pressure on civilians, including psychological pressure, and also tries to prevent citizens from accessing humanitarian aid, the Walla news portal reported on Tuesday.
