Jerusalem, May 19 -- Israeli troops have begun demolishing an Indonesian hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, with at least 55 people remaining trapped in the building, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the broadcaster, this is the last medical facility in northern Gaza.
Israeli troops attacked the hospital gates and demolished the northern wall of the besieged facility with a bulldozer, the channel said.
According to Al Jazeera, at least 55 people remain in the building, including four doctors and eight nurses. The channel added that gunfire could be heard around the hospital.
