Jerusalem, Feb. 23 -- Israel has agreed to allow the transfer of a large US-brokered shipment of flour to the Gaza Strip after Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich blocked the delivery for over a month, The Times of Israel newspaper reported on Friday, citing a US official familiar with the matter.

The new arrangement provides for the transfer of enough flour to feed 1.5 million Gazans for five months, to be delivered to the Palestinian enclave by the World Food Program, the newspaper reported.
