Washington, March 11 -- Israel and Lebanon, with mediation from the United States, have agreed to start negotiations to resolve border disputes, the Axios news portal reported on Tuesday, citing a White House official.

The agreed negotiations are expected to concern the Israeli-Lebanese land border, the official told the news portal, adding that as a part of the reached consensus, Israel will release five Lebanese prisoners.
