Tehran, April 18 -- Iran's Majlis (Parliament) speaker, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, sharply refuted claims made by US President Donald Trump regarding the Strait of Hormuz, insisting that all seven of Trump's statements within an hour were false.
"The President of the United States made seven claims in one hour, all seven of which were false. They did not win the war with these lies, and they will certainly not get anywhere in negotiations either. With the continuation of the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open," he said.
Trump had alleged on Truth Social that Iran had "agreed to never close the Strait of Hormuz again" and claimed that the US naval blockade would continue until its transaction with Iran was "100% complete." He...
