Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 28 -- In view of the prevailing tensions and the possibility of conflict in West Asia, especially involving Iran and Israel, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) Department to urgently launch an emergency helpdesk.

The directive was issued against the backdrop of growing instability in Iran, Israel and other countries in the region, raising concerns over the safety of expatriates, including a significant number of Malayalis working and residing there.
