Chandigarh, Oct. 30 -- In a major boost to Punjab's industrial and employment landscape, IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has announced an investment of Rs 1,400 crore to set up a new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing unit in Badbar village, Barnala district.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for around 2,000 people.
Announcing the development, Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora said that under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government is committed to turning Punjab into a progressive and future-ready industrial hub.
