Amritsar, July 16 -- A series of threat emails targeting Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar has sparked a high-level security alert and prompted swift police action.
Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar confirmed that five such emails have been received so far, with early investigation indicating that the emails were sent using a corporate email service.
Addressing a press conference, Commissioner Bhullar revealed that technical and forensic analysis suggests a possible link to Tamil Nadu. "We are in close coordination with Tamil Nadu Police. Preliminary findings indicate that the source of these threatening emails is connected to that region," he stated.
