Mumbai, April 8 -- A shocking incident has emerged from Vasai where a four-year-old boy, Vignesh, who was brutally assaulted, was forced to move across four different hospitals before receiving treatment.
Taking serious cognisance of the matter, Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe has called for urgent systemic reforms in the healthcare response mechanism.
Following detailed media reports, Dr. Gorhe initiated a prompt follow-up, gathering information from both the police and the victim's family. She also held direct discussions with Niketan Kaushik, the Police Commissioner of the Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar region, stressing the gravity of the incident.
