Indore (MP), Jan. 23 -- The deadly sequence of deaths caused by consumption of contaminated water at the Bhagirathpura area here shows no signs of abating.
On Friday, Badri Prasad (63) succumbed during treatment. He was admitted to the Aurobindo Hospital on January 17 after complaining of vomiting and diarrhoea. He was also suffering from tuberculosis. With this death, the number of fatalities went up to 26. The situation is still worrisome at Bhagirathpura. Ten patients are being treated at Aurobindo, and one of them has been put on a ventilator. According to the Health Department, eight of them are suffering from other serious diseases as well.
The area is being supplied with water by more than 50 tankers every day. The administration s...
