Bhopal, Feb. 2 -- A woman on ventilator support died during treatment at a hospital on Sunday night at Indore, taking the unofficial reported death toll to 32, allegedly due to consumption of contaminated drinking water.
The latest fatality was Anita Kushwah (65), who had been undergoing treatment for over a month at the Bombay Hospital, where she had been on ventilator support, allegedly due to drinking contaminated water of the Narmada river supplied by the Indore Municipal Corporation through taps in households of the Bhagirathpura locality of the Madhya Pradesh city.
Her family members said that she was initially admitted to the Bhagyashree Hospital on December 28 after suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea.
