Nagpur, Feb. 7 -- Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar today warned that the proposed India-US trade agreement could severely impact farmers in Maharashtra, as it allows duty-free agricultural imports from the United States.

Addressing the media here, Wadettiwar said the two countries have agreed on a framework for an interim trade arrangement under which tariffs on Indian exports to the US would be brought down to 18 per cent, while agricultural products imported from the US into India would attract no duty at all.
