Hyderabad, Feb. 2 -- The first Indo-Timor-Leste healthcare and academic engagements were held in Hyderabad, marking a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Timor-Leste (formerly East Timor) is located northwest of Australia and secured Independence from Indonesia in 2002.

The high-level meetings were led by His Excellency Karlito Nunes, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, who visited the city from January 29 to February 1, accompanied by Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, grandson of Nizam VII, according to a release here on Monday.
