New Delhi, March 10 -- : InterGlobe Aviation Limited, the parent company of IndiGo, on Tuesday announced that its Chief Executive Officer Pieter Elbers will step down from his position with immediate effect.

In a statement, the airline's Board of Directors thanked Elbers for his contribution and service to the organisation and wished him well for his future endeavours. Elbers had been leading the country's largest airline and played a key role in steering its operations during a crucial phase of growth and expansion.
