Pankaj JainNew Delhi, Jan. 24 -- IndiGo on Friday launched non-stop flight services between India and Greece, becoming the first airline to offer direct connectivity between the two countries.

The airline has started direct flights from Mumbai to Athens, while services between Delhi and Athens will begin from Saturday.

The new routes are being operated using India's first Airbus A321XLR aircraft.

IndiGo will operate three flights a week on each route, connecting Athens with Mumbai and Delhi.

With this launch, travellers from Greece will get direct access to India's two major metro cities and further connections across IndiGo's domestic and international network.
