Chennai, Jan. 29 -- The two space industry lobby bodies of India have submitted an ambitious wishlist for the union Budget 2026-27, calling for higher public investment, infrastructure status, targeted incentives, and regulatory clarity to accelerate the country's emergence as a leading global space power.
The Space Industry Association of India (SIA-India) and the Indian Space Association (ISpA), representing private space companies, have urged the government to undertake fiscal, regulatory, and structural reforms aligned with the Space Policy 2023 and IN-SPACe's decadal vision.
