Chennai, March 15 -- The Indian Railways has taken an important step towards improving urban connectivity in Tiruchirappalli by granting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the development of an elevated rotary and associated road infrastructure at the Ponmalai G-Corner junction.
The project, proposed to improve connectivity between National Highway-45 and the Ponmalai area, is expected to significantly enhance traffic management and eliminate a long-standing accident-prone location.
The G-Corner junction at Ponmalai has been identified as a critical traffic point where multiple road movements intersect, often resulting in congestion and conflicting traffic flows.
