Hyderabad, Jan. 22 -- At least 16 Indian nationals, including three Hyderabad youths, have been lured with promises of jobs in Thailand and subsequently taken captive at the Myanmar-Thailand border in slave-like conditions, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi claimed on Thursday.
Taking to his 'X' handle, Owaisi said, according to information received from one of the victims, Mir Sajjad Ali, a resident of Osman Nagar, Hyderabad, the group is being compelled to work 18-20 hours a day, subjected to physical abuse, and denied basic medical care.
