Imphal, Jan. 9 -- Indian film Boong, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lakshmipriya Devi, has achieved a significant international milestone by advancing to the next round of consideration at the 79th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) 2026.
The film is among eight titles shortlisted in the Children's & Family Film category.
The 79th BAFTA Awards are scheduled to be held on February 22, 2026, in London. In the Children's & Family Film category, eight films have progressed from a total of 14 eligible submissions. The films advancing are Arco, Boong, Elio, Grow, How to Train Your Dragon, Lilo & Stitch, Little Amelie and Zootropolis 2.
