Chennai, Jan. 24 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) organised a motorcycle expedition to commemorate its 50th Raising Day, reaffirming its commitment to maritime safety, coastal security, and community engagement.
The expedition was conducted by Coast Guard Region (East), Chennai, with the participation of 50 Coast Guard riders.
The rally was undertaken in two concurrent phases from Tuticorin and Visakhapatnam, covering an approximate distance of 1,500 km over five days, and culminated at Chennai.
The Andhra Pradesh leg was flagged off by the Commander Coast Guard District Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Inspector General Rajesh Mittal, while the Tuticorin leg was flagged off by Vikas Nair, Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin.
