New Delhi, Dec. 11 -- In a major humanitarian effort, the Indian Army contingent deployed in Sri Lanka under Operation Sagar Bandhu has established and is operating a fully functional field hospital in one of the worst flood-affected regions, providing life-saving medical care to thousands.
The mission, led by Lt Col Jagneet Gill, has already delivered critical assistance to more than 5,000 citizens, many of whom had no access to medical support in the aftermath of the disaster.
