New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA), through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has formally contacted United States authorities regarding Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian businessman convicted in the U.S. for his role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Official sources told UNI today that the Indian agency has sent a set of specific queries to its US counterparts, seeking information on Rana's potential connections with Pakistani entities. The NIA is investigating his role in the larger conspiracy behind the 26/11 attacks.
