New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- India's services sector has cemented its position as the economy's main growth engine, emerging as a pillar of resilience, exports and employment amid global uncertainty, according to the Economic Survey 2025-26 tabled in Parliament on Wednesday.
In a dedicated chapter titled "Services: From Stability to New Frontiers," the Survey says the sector has become "the principal engine of economic growth, resilience, and structural transformation" at a time when global industrial activity remains subdued and geopolitical risks persist.
