Thiruvananthapuram, March 12 -- A first of its kind animal shelter for relocating animals during disasters is set to be established at Kottathara village in Wayanad district of Kerala.
This pioneering initiative will be a collaborative effort between the State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) Kerala, the Wayanad District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the Kottathara Grama Panchayat, and the Humane World for Animals India (formerly Humane Society International/India).
