New Delhi, Jan. 13 -- Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has dismissed fears of Bangladesh emerging as a third front after Pakistan and China, saying the Indian military leadership has been in talks with the top brass in Dhaka and there is no such indication as of now.
General Dwivedi said this in response to questions at the annual press conference here on Tuesday. He clarified that the Army is constantly monitoring the situation there. "First of all, it is important to understand what kind of government is in Bangladesh. If it is an interim government, we have to see whether the steps they are taking are for four to five years or only for four to five months," he said.
