Pune, March 25 -- India's preparedness and foresight in the backdrop of the global energy crisis have proven to be highly effective in the current challenging situation, said Hemant Patil, National President of India Against Corruption, on Wednesday.

He noted that the importance of the energy diversification policies implemented over the past decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become particularly evident during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Referring to the statement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha, Patil said that India has increased the number of countries it imports energy from, from 27 to 42, thereby significantly reducing dependence on any single region.
