New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- India on Tuesday rejected as "ridiculous", Pakistan's claim that New Delhi had delayed overflight clearance by "60 hours" for sending humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka, and said the request was cleared in less than five hours on the same day.

The Indian response came as the Pakistan Foreign Office said India had become an "obstacle" in Pakistan's efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka.

According to the Pakistan Foreign Office, a special relief aircraft carrying aid to Sri Lanka was delayed for 60 hours, adding that India "still has not given clearance" for the plane.
