Kochi, March 29 -- The Indian Navy hosted the IONS Maritime Exercise (IMEX) Table Top Exercise (TTX) 2026 at the Maritime Warfare Centre under the Southern Naval Command in Kochi, bringing together delegates from 12 countries to address evolving non-traditional maritime security challenges in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
The high-level engagement assumes significance as India prepares to take over the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Chairmanship for 2026-2028 after a gap of sixteen years, marking a major step in strengthening regional maritime leadership and cooperation.
