New Delhi/Washington, Feb. 21 -- India is closely examining recent trade developments in the United States after President Donald Trump imposed a temporary 10 percent tariff on imports from across the world, even as the US Supreme Court ruled on his earlier use of emergency powers to introduce sweeping tariffs.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Saturday said it has taken note of the US Supreme Court judgment on tariffs and the subsequent announcements made by the US Administration. The Ministry said it is studying the developments and assessing their possible implications.
