New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- Home Minister Amit Shah upheld the India - European union trade deal concluded on Tuesday in Delhi, stating that it marks a defining moment, securing a strategic breakthrough in the country's global trade engagement.

Terming the successful conclusion of the India-EU FTA as another example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "astute diplomatic vision on a global platform," Shah said that the agreement will usher in a "new era of prosperity by gaining unprecedented access for 99 percent of Indian exports", opening a whole new world of opportunities across sectors for MSMEs and youth.
