Srinagar, Jan. 21 -- Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged brief fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, official sources said on Wednesday.
They said firing took place when the Army was installing surveillance cameras along the LoC in the Keran sector.
"Pakistani troops fired two small-arms rounds in an attempt to disrupt the installation, drawing a single retaliatory shot from the Indian side," officials said. "There was no report of any casualties and the situation is calm in the sector."The Army has not officially said anything on the ceasefire violation.
