Srinagar, March 22 -- In a demonstration of humanitarian cooperation, the Indian and Pakistani armies coordinated efforts to recover the bodies of a boy and a girl who had jumped into the Jhelum river near Uri nearly three weeks ago.

On March 5, the boy and the girl, from the villages of Basgran and Kamalkote, had jumped into the Jhelum river.

After the incident, the Indian Army immediately launched an extensive search operation to recover their bodies. Despite sustained efforts, their remains could not be located.
