Lucknow, Aug. 23 -- Until the Supreme Court on Friday ordered sterlization of all stray dogs, in thecountry's largest state of Uttar Pradesh, 28,43,744 people have been victims of dog bites between January andJuly this year.
Out of these, stray dogs have made 22,50,218 people their victims, while 1,51,627 people have been victims ofpet dog bites.
If we look at the statistics of animal bites in UP from January to July, it is revealed that 33,83,712 people havebeen victims of animal bites. These include cases of bites from street dogs to pet dogs, cats, monkeys, jackals,foxes, horses.
