In a new twist, police says senior woman officer of LIC found charred in a fire mishap, was indeed murdered by colleague

Chennai, Jan. 20 -- In a new twist to the death of a senior woman Manager of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)who was found charred to death in the office a month back following a fire accident, Police on Tuesday said she was infact murdered by her colleague following a dispute over death settlement claims.

Police said the 56-year-old Woman Manager A Kalyani Nambi was doused with petrol and set ablaze by AdministrativeManager D Ram following a verbal dual over the delay in settling death claims.

As Ms Kalyani warned that she would be sending a report and complaint against him to the higher-ups stating that he wasunnecessarily delaying death claims, Ram in a fit of rage doused her with petrol and set her on fire.
