Vijayawada, Aug. 20 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Transport M Ramprasad Reddy has asserted the implementation of 'free bus travel for women' scheme is a grand success and 65 lakh women have travelled in the APSRTC buses during the last six days under the scheme.
The AP government launched the free bus travel scheme for women, named as 'Stree Sekshi' on Independence Day, August 15.
Transport Minister Ramprasad Reddy held a review meeting with the APSRTC officials including MD Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, in the RTC bus station complex here on Wednesday and reviewed the implementation of the scheme.
