Shimla, March 7 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heatwave conditions at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh in the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, the weather in the state is expected to remain mainly dry, though light rain or drizzle may occur at isolated places.

At present, four synoptic weather systems are influencing the region. A subtropical westerly jet stream with core winds of around 110 knots continues over northwest India.

In addition, three Western Disturbances are active over the region, including one upper-air cyclonic circulation over Jammu and adjoining Pakistan and another trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies.
