Jammu, Feb. 25 -- Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau today carried out surprise checks on receiving complaints regarding widespread illegal mining activities being carryied out in Jammu Division by mining block holders (Lessee) in connivance with certain officers and officials of the Mining and Ecological Departments.
The ACB spokesman here said that in order to curb such illegal activities, ACB constituted teams to conduct Joint Surprise Checks (JSCs) at different places in Jammu division.
