Varanasi, Jan. 9 -- Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) have achieved a significant breakthrough in the field of environmental protection.

Scientists at the institute have developed a highly efficient, sustainable, and low-cost adsorbent for effectively removing toxic chemical dyes from industrial wastewater.

This research was led by Prof. Chandan Upadhyay and Amit Bar (School of Materials Science and Technology), with significant contributions from Dr. Ram Sharan Singh (Department of Chemical Engineering).
