New Delhi, April 22 -- The Indian Air Force today demonstrated its rapid-response capability by operationalising an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur district, successfully conducting day and night operations to enhance defence preparedness.

A diverse fleet of aircraft, including Jaguar, Mirage-2000, Sukhoi-30 MKI, C-295 and AN-32, along with Mi-17 V5 helicopters and Garud Commando teams, carried out coordinated missions to showcase the force's operational versatility. The exercise, conducted in coordination with UPEIDA and the local civil administration, validated standard operating procedures for swift activation of the ELF under all conditions.
