Chennai, May 6 -- Passengr car makers Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Tuesday celebrated 29 years in India having sold 12.7 million units since inception, including export of 3.7 million-pus units to more than 150 countries.

Established on May 6, 1996, Hyundai has successfully emerged as one of India's most trusted automotive brands.

The company recently allocated Rs 1,500 crore towards revamp and modernisation of its Chennai manufacturing facility.
