Hyderabad, Jan. 1 -- Grand New Year celebrations were held at the Telangana State Secretariat, Charminar, KBR Park and Mehdipatnam Rythu Bazaar at midnight on Wednesday to welcome New Year 2026.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar participated in the celebrations as chief guest and cut cakes at the venues along with senior police officials. He extended New Year greetings to the citizens of Hyderabad, police personnel and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said public safety remains the top priority of the police department. He thanked citizens for their cooperation in maintaining law and order during the past year and appealed for continued public participation in 2026.
