Hyderabad, Nov. 7 -- The Centre has approved Hyderabad as the venue for the 85th Annual Conference of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) to be held next year.
The announcement was made by union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The approval follows a formal request made by Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
Reddy had written to the union Minister expressing the state's readiness to host the landmark event in Hyderabad.
