Hyderabad, Jan. 25 -- Reiterating that women's safety is a top priority, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, on Sunday announced that harassment-especially digital blackmail and cyberstalking-will be dealt with firmly and without compromise.

"No offender should assume anonymity or that technology will shield them from the law. Every complaint will be taken seriously, and strict legal action will follow," Sajjanar said in release here.

Over the past year, the city's SHE Teams successfully resolved 1,149 complaints and apprehended 3,826 individuals involved in harassment, using a combination of undercover surveillance, decoy operations, and technical expertise, he said.
