Hyderabad, Oct. 5 -- The Cyber Crime Police Station, Hyderabad City, has issued a strong advisory urging citizens to stay alert against fraudulent online investment and trading platforms that are duping people through WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, and X.

In a statement on Sunday, the police officials said fraudsters are creating fake trading websites and dashboards showing fabricated profits to gain trust. Victims are lured into depositing money, but later face blocked withdrawals with excuses such as "taxes" or "compliance fees." Once large sums are collected, the scammers either disappear or intimidate victims with fake legal threats.
