Hyderabad, Feb. 5 -- MNJ Institute of Oncology, a government-run tertiary cancer centre, here has emerged as a key public-sector leader in advanced cancer care, having successfully performed more than 250 robotic-assisted cancer surgeries over the past 30 months, all free of cost for patients from economically weaker and middle-income groups.

A major share of these procedures has been for gynaecological cancers, underlining the institute's growing role in addressing cancers that disproportionately affect women.
