Hyderabad, Jan. 10 -- Following the delimitation and merger of several municipalities into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), a large number of unauthorised and illegal advertisement structures have been identified at various locations across the city, said GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan here on Saturday.
Citing concerns over public safety, visual pollution and violations of municipal regulations, the GHMC has launched a special enforcement drive to identify and remove unauthorised hoardings, banners and other advertisement structures within its jurisdiction, the Commissioner said.
As part of the drive, several illegal advertisement installations have already been dismantled, he said.
